Porn Industry Controversy — James Deen

Stoya recently accused former partner, in both film and life, of rape. Article here: http://www.wetpaint.com/james-deen-rape-stoya-controversy-1457160/

Whether the accusations by Stoya and several other women are true remains to be seen, but it seems like there may be a lot more, and it seems like her confession snowballed a lot of others in a “If she’s willing to come out about this, maybe it’s time I did too” manner. We wouldn’t be surprised if it’s only him doing these things either. Just because a woman is in an industry that objectifies them, makes them into fantasy toys for whatever use a person, usually a man, wants to deliver, and generally demeans them, it’s important to remember that they are people, and that’s just their job.

Even when simply engaging in certain kinks in private, whether adult film stars or just regular women, while they may be inclined to submission, various forms of humiliation, and other kinks that may be seen as demeaning, they still deserve basic mutual respect. They are, after all, doing these things partially for their own pleasure, but their partners’ pleasure as well.

Women are not solely a summation of their professions or their kinks.
